2025-09-30

Poly(Methylvinylether/Maleic Acid) Copolymer is a linear polymer formed by the polymerization of methyl vinyl ether and maleic anhydride.  In humid environments, Poly(Methylvinylether/Maleic Acid) Copolymer demonstrate their excellent bioadhesive properties and are widely used in personal care products.

Primary applications include:

1.  Pharmaceuticals: Used as a drug carrier in the preparation of sustained-release formulations and transdermal drug delivery systems.  They can also be used as active ingredients in oral care products to inhibit pigment adhesion and protect dental health.

2.  Oral care: Commonly used in products such as toothpaste and mouthwash, they reduce the deposition of food pigments (such as tea and coffee stains) on tooth surfaces through film formation.

3.  Cosmetics: Used as a film-forming agent or additive in hair gels and skin care products to enhance moisturizing and styling properties.

4.  Industrial: Used as a surfactant, thickener, adhesive, and other agents in the papermaking, textile, and coatings industries.
