1. Differences in chemical synthesis between DINP and DOP: DINP is mainly prepared by the esterification reaction of phthalic anhydride with isononyl alcohol, while DOP is mainly prepared by the reaction of phthalic anhydride with 2-ethylhexanol.

2. Differences in performance between DINP and DOP:

  (1) Compared with DOP, DINP has a larger molecular weight. Therefore, DINP has better anti-aging, anti-migration, anti-extraction, and better high-temperature resistance. However, under the same conditions, the plasticizing effect of DINP is slightly worse than that of DOP.

  (2) DOP has the advantages of good plasticizing performance and excellent cold resistance, but it is not as good as DINP in terms of aging resistance and electrical insulation performance.

3. Differences in processing performance between DINP and DOP: DINP has an advantage over DOP in improving extrusion efficiency. Under the same extrusion conditions, DINP can reduce the melt viscosity of the compound more than DOP, which helps to reduce die pressure, reduce mechanical wear, and increase extrusion productivity.

4. Differences in PVC compatibility between DINP and DOP: DINP has very good compatibility with PVC, and even with a large amount of use, it will not precipitate. DINP also has lower volatility and migration. Although DOP also has good compatibility, DOP is slightly inferior to DINP in terms of volatility and migration.

5. Differences in application fields between DINP and DOP: DINP is suitable for applications that require high performance, such as toy films, wires, and cables; DOP has good plasticizing performance, so DOP is widely used in the processing of polyvinyl chloride resin and various other resins and rubbers.

6. Differences in environmental protection and cost-effectiveness between DINP and DOP: Compared with DOP, DINP is more environmentally friendly, with lower volatility during production and use, and less impact on the environment. DOP has a lower cost, so DOP is the most widely used phthalate plasticizer at present.
