What’s the Photoinitiator 944?

Photoinitiator 944 also named Light Stabiliser 944,or UV Light Stabiliser UV-944. Photoinitiator 944 is a polymer with a complex molecular structure. It typically presents as a white to pale yellow powder or granular solid, odourless. Light Stabiliser 944 exhibits stable physical properties, with a melting point ranging between 100–135°C and a flash point exceeding 150°C. It is not classified as a flammable substance.

Photoinitiator 944 exhibits exceptionally high utilisation efficiency, with its light-stabilising effect typically being 2 to 4 times that of conventional ultraviolet absorbers.

When used in combination with UV absorbers UV-327 and UV-531, Light Stabiliser 944 provides comprehensive protection for materials, significantly enhancing their weather resistance.

Light Stabiliser 944 not only scavenges free radicals but also possesses antioxidant properties, capable of decomposing hydrogen peroxides. When blended with Antioxidant 1010 and Antioxidant 168, Light Stabiliser 944 effectively inhibits thermal-oxidative and photo-oxidative ageing in products, enhancing their stability during high-temperature processing and prolonged outdoor exposure.
